Kingsway Lincs Trust is a Company Limited by Guarantee with charitable status and has been established by King’s Church to develop the community strategy into the surrounding area.

The long-term objective of the Trust is to meet community needs and contribute towards economic and social regeneration in Grimsby, Cleethorpes and NE Lincs.

Meridian Debt Advice is a charity that provides completely free face to face money advice for people in our community who are in debt.  We are members of Community Money Advice (CMA), a national organisation who has given us training to enable us to help those in need with unconditional quality advice, from form filling to personal insolvency: 

Following the free advice, if further steps need to be taken including Debt Management Plans or Bankruptcy, Meridian Debt Advice offers this service or will signpost to other agencies.   

• We can advise on Bankruptcy and support clients through the process
• We assist with formulaating Debt Management Plans, where client’s repayments are made through Meridian
• We negotiate with creditors on behalf of our clients
• We aid our clients in setting up regular payments to Creditors
• We provide a face to face service which is carried out with warmth, understanding and support to our clients

We can signpost to other agencies when necessary

CARE (Christian Action Resource Enterprise) was launched from King’s Church in 1992. This ministry to the needy and homeless has since developed into a separate charity supported in various ways by different churches in the area.

GRIMSBY FOOD KITCHEN has been running for over 4 years.  It started with volunteers serving soup and a bun to 6 homeless people and now 60 plus meals are provided every Sunday at the ‘Open Door’ Centre.  Alongside this more than 40 food parcels are packed and delivered every Friday.  Headlands Frozen Food donates most of the supplies; together with many other local companies, groups and individuals.

As well providing food there is always a listening ear to provide hope and encouragement to the underprivileged and needy in our community.  Grimsby Food Kitchen is making a difference to the lives of men and women in our area.
