The teaching aims to provide the necessary skills and tools in order to discuss abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem-cell research, and homosexuality with anyone who engages you with these issues. Emphasis will be placed on sensitivity and compassion when communicating the Christian understanding of these difficult areas. It is vitally important that Christians gain a full understanding of these issues - they are the most common ones that you will be challenged with. Of equal importance is the fact that our children will be exposed to these challenges from their peers, and it is our duty to prepare them adequately to face these challenges.
